Watch: Change from within
Go behind the scenes with two internal leaders from both sides of the Mammut x Climeworks partnership to discover how a shared passion for the outdoors is driving real industry change.
As mountain people, we love immersing ourselves in the outdoors. Deep in alpine valleys, traversing panoramic ridgelines, in awe of old growth forests: this is our passion, and knowing those places are at risk motivates us to act.
The fact is nature can’t do it alone anymore. We also need technology to remove historical and unavoidable emissions in the fight against climate change. That’s why Mammut is collaborating with the carbon removal pioneer, Climeworks, whose "Direct Air Capture" technology removes CO₂ from the air to be then safely stored deep underground, where it mineralizes and turns into rock permanently.
This desire to use business to take real action on climate change is driven by company culture but also by the individuals who shape those cultures. In this short film, we spoke with Mammut’s Jeanne Mochel and Climework’s Judith Hebekeuser to discover the personal motivations driving their work in this partnership and how they’re finding a way to take action on climate change every day they step into the office.
Watch the short film and discover how real change comes from within.Â
“We are aware that with each part of production that we do, there is an unavoidable emissions release.”
