At Mammut we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and the personal data you share with us. This Privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable data privacy laws, when you download and use our Barryvox application.

We collect only personal data you share directly with us, voluntarily. We constrain ourselves to ask for the minimum data required to be able to use the application accordingly.
Once you download the application you have the option to add and register your Barryvox device.
In order to register your device, you need to create a Mammut account if you do not have one already.
The registration link brings you to the Mammut.com website where you can create your Mammut account and then register your device.
The following data is asked from you for account creation and device registration

The following data is collected during the usage of the application:
your geolocation anytime you connect your device to enable voice feature activation
IP address
crash data if there are issues with the application
We use your personal data only for the purposes listed below.
With regards to the application:
to able to provide you the functionalities and services of the application
to communicate to you the software updates or any related information related to your registered device
to send notifications in case of revoking of a model
With regards the device registration:
to be able to provide you and additional 3 year extension of your warranty related to your device
to communicate to you the software updates or any related information related to your registered device via e-mail
to send you personalized marketing messages, product surveys, asking for feedback via e-mail
The legal basis of processing personal data is your freely given, explicit consent based (Art. 6 para. 1 a) on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with regards the creation of your Mammut account and registration of your device on the Mammut website.
Your personal data is available and accessible only by those who need the data to accomplish the intended processing purpose. We may share your personal data within our Group companies, with service-providers, whenever needed to fulfil the intended processing purpose.
To the extent that such third parties are data processors, they are contractually bound by Mammut to only process data in accordance with Mammut’s instructions and applicable legal requirements.
We may store personal information on our servers or those of our service providers (including “cloud” servers), and it is accessible by authorized employees, representatives and agents who require access for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement. We have implemented reasonable security procedures and measures that are intended to protect personal information and our information technology systems that store personal information.
With regards of your device and account registration related to the application usage, we retain your personal data until you revoke your consent. You can revoke your consent and ask for the deletion of your data anytime by contacting the Mammut support ↗.
Under the applicable data protection provisions, you have, where applicable, the right to (i) information (ii) correction, (iii) deletion, restriction on processing, (iv) data portability and/or (vii) opt out of the processing.
